Partner terms

Effective October 6, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you, a Doorman partner, and Doorman (“we”, “us”). They sit alongside our terms of service.

1. Who can join

Anyone can apply at /partners. We approve applications at our discretion and may say no without giving a reason. One partner account per person or company. Your partner account is tied to the Doorman account with the email address you applied with.

2. How referrals are counted

• Your link is any page on withdoorman.com with ?ref= and your handle on it. When someone follows it, a cookie on withdoorman.com remembers your handle for 30 days. If they create an account in that time, they are your referral. If they followed someone else's link first, the first link counts.
• Template creators' template links count as described in your template agreement: each buyer whose account is created through your template's form is your referral.
• A “Protected by Doorman” badge that carries your account's referral code counts as your link, including a code from before your handle replaced it.
• There is no credit for people who already had a Doorman account, for your own accounts or anyone signing up with your own address, or for sign-ups we couldn't count because the browser blocked the cookie or the link wasn't followed.

3. What is paid

• 25% of the amounts a customer you referred actually pays Doorman, for their first 12 paid months. Template creators are paid the rate in their agreement.
• It's worked out each month from the plan the customer was on at the end of the month, as our billing provider reports it: the monthly price they pay (a limited-offer price if they have one), or a twelfth of the yearly price on a yearly plan. A customer on Free, or on a trial, pays nothing, so earns nothing.
• Your share is worked out before taxes and before payment processing fees, and neither is taken off it.
• A month that is refunded, charged back or found to be fraudulent earns nothing. If we have already paid you for it, the amount comes off your next payment.
• Commission starts with the calendar month your application is approved in.

4. Statements and payouts

• Each month we email you a statement (you can turn it off; the partner dashboard always shows the same numbers).
• We pay within 30 days after the end of a month once at least $25 is owed, by PayPal, Stripe or bank transfer, in US dollars. Balances under $25 roll over to the next month.
• Tell us where to pay you in your partner dashboard. We may ask for a tax form before paying. You are responsible for your own taxes.

5. The rules

• Don't bid on “Doorman”, “withdoorman” or misspellings of them in paid search, or use them in domain names or ad text.
• Don't list Doorman on coupon, cashback or deal sites.
• Don't make claims about Doorman that its own pages don't make.
• No spam, and no cold outreach that names Doorman.
• Say that you are a Doorman partner where the law requires it, including the FTC's rules in the US and the ASA's in the UK.
• No self-referral, and no rewards of your own for signing up (cash, discounts, gifts) unless we've agreed to it in writing.

6. Ending the partnership

Either side can end it at any time, by email or from your account. We pay what you earned for months that have ended, on the usual schedule. If we end it because of fraud or a serious breach of these rules, unpaid balances are forfeited.

7. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms with at least 30 days' notice by email. Changes apply to months that start after they take effect, never to commission already earned.
