What the same money buys elsewhere
Prices for about 5,000 submissions a month. Captchas and form backends check who sent something. Doorman reads what they wrote, so a polite, hand-typed agency pitch doesn't get through.
| Product | What it checks | Price at ~5,000/month | Free tier | Says why it blocked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Doorman Pro | Reads the message: pitches, bots, fake sign-ups, card testing | $29/mo ($19 until Nov 30) | 100 a month, plus 14 days of Pro | Yes: the sentence that gave it away |
| Basin Pro | Form backend with basic spam filtering | $30.62/mo, billed yearly | 50 a month, 1 form | Not for spam decisions |
| Akismet Business | Content spam filter, WordPress-first | $49.95/mo, billed yearly | Non-commercial sites only | No: true or false |
| Formspree Business | Form backend with spam filtering | $60/mo (Professional: 2,000 for $20) | 50 a month | Not published |
| Friendly Captcha Growth | Proof-of-work captcha; never reads the message | €39/mo | Non-commercial sites only | Not at this tier |
| OOPSpam Starter | Spam API: content and reputation signals | $23/mo (25,000 checks; API only, no form backend) | 40 checks, once | Yes: a 0–6 score and flags |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Bot challenge; never reads the message | Free | Unlimited | No |

Questions
Why do pitches and bots count toward my submissions?
Because reading them is the work. A quiet contact form stays on Free; a demo form that gets pitched every day outgrows it, and that's when Doorman is saving you the most time.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your account moves to Free (1 form, 100 submissions a month) unless you've upgraded. Nothing is deleted. Forms you already have keep working; you just can't add more than your plan allows.
What happens if I go over my limit?
Nothing is dropped. Submissions past the limit are held and forwarded to you unjudged, flagged as held, until the month resets or you upgrade.
How does the $19 offer work?
The first 100 paying customers who subscribe before November 30 pay $19/month for Pro or $59/month for Business (or $190 and $590 a year), and keep that price for as long as they stay subscribed. After November 30, or once 100 spots are taken, it's gone. The count on this page is live.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, from Settings, in two clicks. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for, then move to Free.
I build sites for clients. Which plan?
Business: 50 forms, one inbox, 50,000 submissions a month across all of them. If you sell templates, ask about template links instead: every buyer gets their own account and you get a share of what they pay.
